Undersecretary of Finance and Public Credit, Government of Mexico
Vanessa Rubio-Marquez has been in public office for more than 20 years. She has been appointed three times as Deputy-Secretary, first in Foreign Affairs, then in Social Development and currently in Finance and Public Credit. She was also Head of International Affairs at the Ministry of Finance, as well as Head of Communications at the National Commission for the Pension System (CONSAR).
She was professor for 12 years at the Technological Institute of Monterrey and she’s the author of several books and publications on finance and international affairs.
Mrs. Rubio holds a BA in International Relations from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and a Master of Science from the London School of Economics (LSE).
