Opening of the Conference
Financial services in a digital economy:
The Economist reports
Innovation, technology and new competitors are driving change across financial services. Against this backdrop, what is the future for international or global financial services companies? How can banks better help people and businesses prosper? What is the role of financial services in supporting growth, jobs, new opportunities and fostering financial inclusion?.
Disruption has become a permanent feature of banking and finance.
The challenge is how companies can manage disruption to increase efficiency, productivity, maintain the highest standards in cybersecurity and employee and customer satisfaction, building trust.
Financial regulation to support
stability and growth
With a new focus on implementation and assessment, what is the best global governance and framework for managing regulatory change? What constraints or opportunities have been opened by political developments such as Brexit, the push for regulatory rollback in the U.S. and the elections of 2017 in EU member states?.
